THE ART OF LIVING

A Curated Look at Living in the Nation’s Capital

As we enter spring, I’ve been making small but meaningful adjustments at home, starting with my closets. I took the time to curate what still feels aligned and thoughtfully pass along what no longer does, which brought a greater sense of clarity, not only about what to keep, but how I want to live within my space. That clarity began to extend into other areas, from moving artwork to reconsidering placement and creating space for a new piece I’ve been wanting to live with. What I’ve appreciated most is how these quiet changes can shift the feeling of a home. It’s not about doing more, but creating the right amount of space for what matters. It’s a perspective I’m seeing reflected more broadly in how design is being approached right now.

How to Style Unframed Art According to Design Pros

A recent Mansion Global piece highlights a growing preference for unframed art, not as unfinished, but as a more intentional design choice. Without a frame, the work itself takes precedence, allowing texture and scale to define its presence, creating a quieter kind of confidence. Spaces feel edited, not decorated, where each element is given room to be fully experienced.
