THE ART OF LIVING

A Curated Look at Living in the Nation’s Capital

As we step into 2026, I’m excited to lean further into my curiosity about how people live and the spaces that support their lives. Music, contemporary art, and design continue to influence how I think about homes and the moments that unfold within them.

The Art of Living grew from that curiosity. Culture is reflected in how we gather, how our homes feel, and how place shapes everyday life. I’m excited to share what’s ahead and explore the year with you.

The Hottest Home Design Trends of 2026

Local designers say 2026 is about creating homes that feel intentional, comfortable, and deeply personal rather than overly styled. Expect livable luxury that balances beauty with function, a renewed focus on spaces designed for conversation and presence, and thoughtful upgrades that enhance daily life. Wellness driven features like outdoor showers, meditation areas, and backyard courts are gaining momentum, alongside custom details and accessory dwelling units that allow homes to evolve with how people actually live.
